DS-3 & 4
The interconnection of transmission equipment with the DSX (Digital Cross Connect) is achieved with DS-3 and DS-4 telephony coaxes. There are two basic types within this coaxial family:
Cross Connect Coaxial Cables: These are used for a manual connection of circuits within a DSX. Typically they are smaller and more flexible than the interconnect coaxes. This cable is designed for runs between 8 Feet (2.4 meters) and 43 Feet (13 meters).
